About- Cavities also called dental caries or tooth decay are permanently damaged areas on the hard surface of the teeth that develop into tiny openings or holes.
Symptoms-
 Brown, black or white staining on any surface of a tooth
Mild to sharp pain when eating or drinking something sweet, hot or cold
Pain when biting down
Sensitive Teeth
Toothache
Visible holes or black spots on the teeth

Causes-
Tooth Cavities are caused by plaque, a sticky substance that binds to teeth and a combination of bacteria, saliva, acid, food particles
Risk factors

 A poor oral hygiene routine
Acid reflux
Anorexia 
Bulimia
Consuming too many sugary or acidic foods and drinks
Dry mouth
An insufficient fluoride
Worn fillings or dental devices
