Athlete's Foot

About- Athlete's foot also known as tinea pedis is a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes.
Symptoms-
 Itchy, scaly, red rash between the toes
 Cracking and peeling skin on the feet
Dry skin on the soles
Raw skin on the feet
Discolored, thick, and crumbly toenails
Toenails that pull away from the nail bed
Small, red blisters (usually on the soles or between the toes)
Ulcers or sores that leak fluid
 
Causes- Athlete's foot is caused by the same type of fungus that causes ringworm and jock itch. Damp socks and shoes and warm, humid conditions are
favorable conditions for the growth of this fungus.
