About- Kidney infection also called pyelonephritis is an Inflammation of the kidney due to a bacterial infection.

  • Blood or pus in the urine
  • Burning sensation when urinating
  • Chills
  • Fever
  • Foul-smelling urine
  • Frequent urination
  • Groin pain
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Painful urination
  • Urinary urgency
Causes-
A bacterial infection is the main cause of this disease. Rarely, it occurs after a bladder or kidney surgery.

  • Nerve damage around the bladder
  • Urinary tract blockage
  • Use of urinary catheter for a prolonged period
  • Weak immune system
