Dr Suvro Ganguly had moved to London in2007 after completion of his licensing degrees. On return his first exposures to the domain of cancer surgery began at the prestigious Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute where he trained himself into the nuances of GI and other cancer surgeries. Thereafter he joined the premier Tertiary care center of the state, IPGMER & SSKMH as a Resident Surgeon and Clinical Tutor. He gained vast clinical and academic experience over the next 10 years at IPGMER& SSKMH, till July 2016 when he left service as an Associate Professor of Surgery. In pursuit of advancing his domain and hon skills into Coloproctology he travelled to Seoul South Korea at the Samsung Medical Centre. There at the largest and best Coloproctology Unit of the country he obtained his travelling Fellowship in advanced Colorectal Cancer Surgery. On his return he joined the Narayana Hospital Howrah as a Consultant Surgeon in Department of Cancer Surgery. He joined Apollo Gleneagles Hospital in December 2018 and is practising as a Surgeon in the Department of Oncosurgery with special interest in Coloproctology.
