About- Atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD) also known as atrioventricular canal defect (AVCD), common atrioventricular canal (CAVC) or endocardial cushion defect (ECD), is a congenital heart defect in which there are holes between the chambers of the right and left sides of the heart, and the malformation of valves that control the flow of blood between these chambers.
