About- Tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ears when no external sound is present and is a symptom of other medical condition including age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder.

Symptoms-
The types of noises in the ears:
 Ringing
 Buzzing
 Roaring
 Clicking
 Hissing
 
Causes-
In many cases, an exact cause is never found. Some possible causes are

 Damage to the middle or inner ear
 Damage to the eardrums or the tiny bones in the middle ear 
 Tumours in the ear or on the auditory nerve
 Exposure to very loud sounds on a regular basis
 Side effects of certain medications such as aspirin, diuretic medications, antimalarial drugs, antibiotics, and cancer drugs
 Age-related hearing loss
 Muscle spasms in the middle ear
 Meniere’s disease
 High blood pressure
 High cholesterol
 Head and neck injuries
 Temporomandibular joint disorders
 Excessive earwax
 Acoustic neuroma
