Bacterial Vaginosis

About- Bacterial vaginosis (BV) also called Gardnerella or vaginal bacteriosis is a type of vaginal inflammation caused by the overgrowth of bacteria.  

Symptoms-
 Thin, grey, white, or green vaginal discharge
Foul-smelling "fishy" vaginal odor
Vaginal itching
Burning sensation during urination
 
Causes- Bacterial vaginosis is caused by one of several bacteria naturally found in the vagina
Risk Factors
 Douching
Cleaning the vagina with a medicated solution 
Sex with multiple partners
Using an IUD (contraception device)
Using perfumed products in or around the vagina
Smoking
Washing underwear with strong detergents
