About- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) also called hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy is an inherited medical condition in which the heart muscle (especially the ventricles, or lower heart chambers) becomes abnormally thick which may hamper normal blood flow out of the heart.
