About- Duct ectasia of the breast or mammary duct ectasia or plasma cell mastitis is a noncancerous condition occurs when a milk duct becomes blocked.
 
Symptoms-
 A breast lump
 A dirty white, greenish or black nipple discharge
 An inverted nipple
  Pain in the nipple
 Redness or tenderness in the nipple or surrounding breast tissue
 Swelling around the nipple
 
Causes-
It occurs when a milk duct beneath nipple widens, the duct walls thicken and the duct fills with a thick, sticky substance. Possible factors are

 Aging
 Nipple inversion
 Obesity
 Smoking
