Dr Tanmoy Kumar Mandal is working as a medical oncologist and haemato-oncologist. He is a seasoned professional and intensely dedicated medical oncologist. He is widely appreciated for his clinical skills in Oncology. Dr Mandal specialises in the treatment of oncological and haematological disorders such as managing solid tumours like gastrointestinal, genitourinary, lung, head and neck, gynaecological, breast cancers and haematological malignancies like acute leukaemias, multiple myeloma and lymphomas. His academic degrees include MBBS, MD (Internal medicine), DM (Medical Oncology) and MRCP in medical oncology. Besides his magnificent academic career, he is certified by the European society of medical oncology (ESMO) and has been associated with the prestigious Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai previously as a senior resident for his DM training. Currently, he has established himself as a Consultant Medical and Hemato oncologist at Netaji Subhas Cancer Institute, Garia, Kolkata. He is also attached to other hospitals like AMRI Hospital – Dhakuria, Oncocare Superspeciality Cancer Clinics, and Bengal Oncology Centre. He has worked diligently in the field of medical oncology and hemato-oncology and also specialises in bone marrow transplant for which he was trained in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai for 6 months. He holds the experience of conducting intrathecal administration of drugs, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy and PICC insertions. Dr. Mandal completed his MBBS from N.R.S Medical College, Kolkata in the year of 2008. Following which he completed his M.D. in General Medicine from Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata in 2015, D.M. in Medical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai 2019. Further, he holds an MRCP in the field of Medical Oncology (Specialty Certificate Examination) and successfully accomplished it in the year 2019, and in the same year, he derived his ESMO certification, thus known as a certified practising consultant medical oncologist henceforth.

He has been associated with some of the most coveted hospitals in Kolkata. He has worked as Senior Resident in Medical College, Kolkata in the department of Medical Oncology from 2015 to 2016. Going forward, he was posted in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai for 6 months which is considered one of the pioneer institutes for oncological ailments in India. He was promoted and worked as a Specialist Senior Resident in the Department of Medical Oncology of Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai from August 2019 to July 2020. He has joined Netaji Subhas Cancer Institute, Garia, Kolkata in August 2020.
Presently, he is associated with and working as a Consultant Medical and Hemato oncologist in the Department of Medical Oncology at this institution. He is also attached to other hospitals in Kolkata like Peerless hospital, Woodlands Hospital and B.P.Poddar hospital as Visiting Medical Oncologist. He has worked on and successfully published seven publications and four scientific case presentations in various journals like Paediatric Blood cancer (PBC), Indian Journal of Medical and paediatric oncology (IJMPO), Cancer, research, statistics and Training (CRST), Blood Research, Journal of applied haematology and Indian Medical Journal (IMJ). His publications have gained praise from various national and international forums. Apart from publications, he has participated and attended several national and international conferences, such as the 19th Annual John Goldman Conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia: Biology and therapy, October 12-15, 2017 – Estoril, Portugal, Indian Cancer Congress – Held in Bangalore, 2017.
