I am Dr. Sonali Singh, a pediatric neurologist. I have been trained in Paediatrics (MD) from Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai. Thereafter I had the privilege of being trained in Pediatric Neurology (DM) under the guidance of my mentors at AIIMS, New Delhi. Currently, I am practising as a consultant (Pediatric Neurology) at Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata (INK), a premiere institute excelling in patient care as well as academics and research. I have always been interested in clinical as well as research work. I have been fortunate enough to be part of multicentre international randomised controlled trials in the fields of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and ataxia telangiectasia, conducted at AIIMS. I had also contributed to epileptic encephalopathy and muscular dystrophy projects being conducted as part of the Centre of Excellence. I have special interest in pediatric epilepsy and neuromuscular disorder. Understanding of most of the common paediatric neurological disorders and their management have evolved in recent times. I wish to play my role in providing best care to children with neurological disorders and especially bring about a change in quality of life of children with difficult to control epilepsy.
