Hair fall is always something stressful, especially for the male group who are the ones commonly associated with balding. But what if the hair falls during the teen years of a male? That is something that could cause extreme panic among all the emotions that a teenage boy would be facing. There are many possible causes for hair fall in teenage males and here are the most common.

One of the most common reasons for hair loss and balding in men is as we all know, hereditary. Male pattern baldness is usually an account of hereditary but in the modern world, it is hard to say that one’s hair fall might be due to only hereditary reasons. There is plenty of other harm that we are causing our body to have premature hair fall and balding.

The next common cause is of course stress. Stress causes a lot of hormonal imbalance making our whole body go bonkers. Teenage boys tend to be deprived of sleep which is the most important factor to spike stress and ultimately lead to hair loss. Along with that, there are many things that can cause stress, especially in a teenager who is prone to facing a lot of emotions and hurdles growing up.

A lot of teenage boys are getting addicted or have the habit of smoking and consuming alcohol. This could also be a cause of hair loss. Drugs are also suspected of causing hair fall. A lot of teenagers have fallen into the trap of these addicts to escape from their stress. These addictives suck up the essential nutrients from the body and cause dehydration. It is advisable to minimize and keep in control the consumption of alcohol and smoking and it is always the best to stop it.

The next is depriving the body of enough nutrition. Most teenage boys do not watch their diet and are usually used to eating greasy, unhealthy junk which does not provide the body with all of its necessary nutrients. Most do not drink enough water too. Hair is one-fourth of water and water is an important constituent that makes up the body. Proteins are extremely crucial for the healthy growth of hair as the hair is made up of a protein called ‘Keratin’.

Other than these, there are several reasons like medical conditions and the medication that comes along with it. Sudden weight loss and changes in lifestyle can also be a possible reason. Excessive production of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is also said to be one of the major causes of hair fall in males. DHT is an androgen that is produced from the male hormone testosterone and this androgen deprives the male body of receiving enough nutrients, thereby killing the hair follicles.

Hair fall and going bald does not happen overnight and hence it is best to take steps when it starts showing up, especially when it is in teenage males. Hair fall is not a modern concern and is of course reversible. But it is always best to stay good on our part and lead a healthy lifestyle to prevent any premature hair fall. Now that you know Hair Fall Causes in Teenage Males it will be easier for you to take care of your hair and omit stress which seems to be one of the causes.
