Explain how Exercise can reduce the risk of Cancer

For maintaining a balance of calorie intake and the calories used, exercise is essential for people. If fewer calories are spent than the number of calories consumed, it results in obesity. It has been found by oncologists that 13 different cancers can cause due to obesity. There are several ways in which exercise can reduce the risks of cancer. The following is the relationship between exercise and different types of cancer:

Colon Cancer:

A lot of research has been done on colon cancer in relation to exercise. It has been found that there is a 24% lower risk of cancer in those individuals who exercise regularly. There is also a relation between a decreased risk of colon adenomas (polyps), which can develop into cancer and exercise.

Breast Cancer:

There has been a lower risk of cancer in women doing regular exercise in comparison to those who do not, according to many studies. Any breast cancer doctor in Kolkata will also agree with the fact. In both premenopausal women and postmenopausal women, exercise has been associated with a reduced risk of breast cancer. However, the evidence of this is stronger for postmenopausal breast cancer.

Endometrial Cancer:

The relationship between exercise and the risk of endometrial cancer has been studied in many studies. It has been sometimes found that the effect of physical activity on obesity, a known risk factor for endometrial cancer, is reflected by the association between physical activity and endometrial cancer.

There have been a number of biological effects of exercise on the body. There has been an association between some of these with specific cancers.

  1. The levels of certain growth factors, which have been associated with the development and progression of cancer, and hormones such as insulin and estrogen get lowered.
  2. There is the prevention of obesity and a decrease in the harmful effects of obesity, particularly the development of insulin resistance.
  3. Inflammation is reduced.
  4. The immune system function is improved.
  5. The metabolism of bile acids is altered. The gastrointestinal tract is less exposed to some suspected carcinogens as a result of this.
  6. The time taken by food to travel through the digestive system is reduced and the exposure of gastrointestinal tract exposure to possible carcinogens is decreased.

According to cancer specialists and other doctors, if you do not follow any exercise routine and view television, sit or lay down for a long time, there can be a risk of chronic conditions including cancer, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and also of premature death. Therefore, to lead a healthy and happy life, try to exercise regularly.
