Among all urological cancers, prostate cancer is the most slowly growing cancer. But it all depends on the stage of disease at the time of diagnosis. Early or localized prostate cancer is slowly growing in some individuals and they may survive for many years. However, advanced or metastatic disease patients may deteriorate very early and rapidly. Overall, prostate cancer has a very long natural course.
