Other than prostate cancer, the following are reasons for raised PSA.

  • Urinary tract infection (like Cystitis, prostatitis, etc.)
  • Urinary retention
  • Post-digital rectal examination
  • Recent sexual activity
  • Urinary tract surgery or intervention
