Yes. Almost >80% of patients will improve upon taking specific medicine for BPH. However, it needs an accurate assessment by a urologist to have the best treatment result. Empiric treatment and inadequate dose and duration will result in same problem later on. Some patients may not improve adequately on medicines and they may be better treated with surgery.
