Whipple's Disease

About- Whipple disease is a rare bacterial infection mostly affects the gastrointestinal system, interferes normal digestion and impedes body's ability to absorb nutrients

Symptoms-
 Chronic diarrhoea sometimes with blood
 Abdominal pain and cramping
 Unexplained weight loss 
 Inflamed joints and joint pain, particularly the ankles, knees and wrists
 Fatigue
 Weakness 
 Anaemia
 Decreased vision and eye pain 
 Fever

Causes-
Whipple disease is caused by an infection with the bacterium Tropheryma whipplei.
