Cervical Polyp

About-cervical polyp is a common benign growth or tumor on the surface of the cervical canal, the passage that connects the uterus to the vagina. 

Symptoms-
 Abnormally heavy periods
Bleeding after sexual intercourse, douching, or menopause
Bleeding between periods
Vaginal discharge of white or yellow mucus

Causes-
Researchers are not sure about the exact reason, but it may be linked to
 Increased levels of estrogen
Infection or inflammation of the cervix, vagina, or uterus
Clogged blood vessels near the cervix
