Whooping Cough

About- Whooping cough also known as pertussis or a 100-day cough is a highly contagious respiratory tract infection marked by a severe hacking cough followed by a high-pitched intake of breath. 

Symptoms-
 Common Cold
 A runny nose
 Nasal congestion
 Red, watery eyes
 Fever
 A cough
 Vomiting
 Blue or purple skin around the mouth
 Dehydration
 Shortness of Breath

Causes-
Whooping cough is caused by a type of bacteria called Bordetella pertussis. When an infected person coughs or sneezes, tiny germ-laden droplets are sprayed into the air and breathed into the lungs of anyone nearby.
