About- Histoplasmosis also known as Cave disease, Darling's disease, Ohio valley disease, reticuloendotheliosis, spelunker's lung, and caver's disease is a fungal infection caused by the fungus Histoplasma capsulatum, which grows in soil and material contaminated with bat and bird droppings.
