Professional Statement

Rheumatology is a relatively newer sub-specialty of medicine. The burden of rheumatic diseases is huge and often they lead to disability or mortality at a relatively young age. Awareness about the management of rheumatic diseases is lacking amongst patients as well as general physicians. My goal is to develop this specialty in West Bengal and to improve the management of patients with rheumatic diseases.
